Verifier onboarding
Verifiers review and validate DPP submissions on behalf of operators or as independent third parties. Your role is queue-based: operators assign verification tasks to you, you review the evidence and documentation, and you record your decision.
Step 1 — Account activation
Verifier accounts are activated by invitation. You should have received an email from Traceable confirming your verifier status.
- Click the activation link in your email.
- Set your name and password.
- You land on the Verifier Dashboard.
If you have not received an invitation, contact the operator who engaged you — they assign verifiers through their Company Portal.
Step 2 — Understand the Verifier Dashboard
The dashboard shows:
- Pending verifications — tasks assigned to you that require action
- In progress — tasks you have started reviewing but not yet completed
- Completed — your historical decisions
- Average turnaround — your completion time metric
Step 3 — Open your first verification task
- Click Verification Queue in the left sidebar.
- Click the first pending task.
Each task shows:
- Product name and battery category
- Operator name — the company requesting verification
- Assigned date — when the task was created
- Requested by — the specific user who created the task
- Documents to review — attached files, declarations, test reports
- DPP fields to verify — specific claims the operator wants validated
Step 4 — Review the documentation
Work through each document systematically:
- Open each attached document.
- Cross-reference the values claimed in the DPP form against the documents.
- Check:
- Does the test report correspond to the correct model number?
- Are the dates within validity?
- Do the performance values match the DPP fields?
- Is the Declaration of Conformity signed by an authorised signatory?
- Are there any apparent inconsistencies between documents?
Step 5 — Record your decision
At the bottom of the verification task:
- Select Approve or Reject.
- Add a comment:
- On approval: note what you verified and any conditions (e.g., "Approved — test report valid until 2027-06")
- On rejection: specify exactly what is missing or incorrect so the operator can remedy it
- Click Submit decision.
Your decision is:
- Logged in the DPP's audit trail
- Visible to the operator immediately
- Timestamped with your identity — this creates an auditable verification record
Step 6 — Update your profile
- Click Profile in the left sidebar.
- Ensure your name, contact details, and verifier credentials are accurate.
- If you hold specific accreditations relevant to battery testing or EU compliance, note them here.
