Battery templates: searchable lists, GTIN validation and complete country lists

Battery passport forms are now easier to complete and more consistent across all five categories.

New​

  • Searchable dropdowns. Select fields with more than fifteen options let you type to filter, which helps with country and material category lists.
  • Full country coverage. Country fields in every battery template offer the ISO 3166-1 list of 195 countries.
  • GTIN validation. GTIN fields are validated as GS1 GTINs and must be unique across the platform.
  • Versioned changes. Products with a status of Approved or Deprecated change through new versions rather than in-place edits.
  • Field rules. Pattern, minimum and maximum rules from the templates apply on submission, and numeric fields do not accept negative values.
  • Pending status for new documents. Newly uploaded documents start as Pending until they are verified.
  • GS1 Digital Link saved with the product. The URI in /01/{GTIN}/21/{serial} format is stored on the product record when it is generated.
  • PDF export. The passport can be exported as a PDF for every battery category.
