v0.99.21: A product page for every passport, imports that are ready to publish and Dutch passports

This release gives every product one page with everything in one place, lets a file import produce passports that are ready to publish, handles battery units in bulk, and adds a Dutch passport with the official German and Dutch terms of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542.

One page for each product

  • The product page. Select a product in My products to open its page. Five tabs hold what you need: Overview, Documents, Batteries & QR, Versions and Checks. One main button in the header shows the next step for your role, and a More menu holds the less frequent actions.
  • Needs you. The dashboard lists only the things someone has to act on, and each item opens the page where you act on it. See the dashboard.
  • A rebuilt branding page. Upload your logo as a file, choose an accent colour and a header layout, and watch a live preview of the passport and its PDF before you save. See branding.

See the products overview.

Imports that are ready to publish

  • Passports from a file. A CSV or Excel import can now fill repeating lists, point document fields at files you already uploaded, and record that a list such as hazardous substances has nothing to declare. A clean file produces drafts that can pass the publish checks without extra work in the editor.
  • Update existing passports. A second tab on the import page changes passports you already have, matched by their passport ID. You see every change before anything is written, and nothing is published by the import. See Import CSV.
  • Documents are checked before they are made public. A document appears on a public passport once its check is complete.

Battery units in bulk

  • Lists of up to 10,000 rows. On the Batteries & QR tab, add batteries from a list with a serial number and an optional batch label per row. Rows that cannot be added are listed so you can fix them and try again.
  • Labels and batch codes. Download a label file for a page of batteries or for a selection, and create a QR code for a whole batch.

Battery lifecycle

  • End of life. From the More menu, record whether a battery is re-used, repurposed, remanufactured, handed over as waste or recycled. A later passport can be linked when a battery is repurposed or remanufactured.
  • A recycled battery's passport. Its QR code opens a short notice, "This battery passport has ceased", with the recycling date and a link to a later passport when one exists. A model passport never ceases. See QR codes and the resolver.
  • A clearer notice for inactive companies. A passport whose company is no longer active reads "Passport no longer maintained on Traceable", in the viewer's language.

Public passports

  • Dutch. The passport language selector now offers six languages: English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano and Nederlands.
  • Official terms. The German and Dutch passports label battery fields with the terms of the official German and Dutch texts of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. See How to read a Digital Product Passport.

EU registry

  • Identity proof reminders. Record the eID or qualified electronic seal you use with the EU DPP Registry and its expiry. Your team admins get a reminder 60, 30 and 7 days before it ends, and once it has passed. See EU registry readiness.

Suppliers

  • Invitations that start working at once. Inviting a supplier now creates their account and emails a link to set a password.

Integration API

  • Documents in file fields. A file field on PUT /api/v1/products/{id}/form-data accepts the id of a document your company already holds, as returned by POST /api/v1/products/{id}/documents.
  • Units. GET and POST /api/v1/products/{id}/units list and add the battery units of a published product, up to 1,000 per call.

What to update

  • A recycled battery unit's passport answers 410 with the header X-DPP-Availability: ceased and a short notice. A model passport never answers this way. Withdrawn, deprecated and inactive-company passports keep answering 200 with an availability block, as in v0.99.20.
  • The availability.notice text for an inactive company reads "Passport no longer maintained on Traceable".
  • Withdrawing a passport through the API can return 409 with the code STATUS_CHANGED when the status changed while the request was processed. Read the product again, then retry.
  • Requests to POST /api/v1/gdpr/erase return deadlineAt and deadlineRule (one_calendar_month). Use deadlineAt for the date; slaDays is deprecated.
