Getting Started — Supplier Portal
This guide walks you through activating your Traceable supplier account, completing your initial setup, and understanding what the Supplier Portal gives you access to.
Your Invitation Email
Access to the Supplier Portal is by invitation only. An operator you work with — a battery manufacturer or product company using Traceable — will add you as a supplier on their account and trigger an invitation to your registered business email address.
The invitation email contains:
- A personalised welcome message from Traceable on behalf of the inviting operator
- The name of the operator who has invited you, so you can verify the invitation is legitimate
- A Set Up Your Account button containing a one-time activation link
- The link expiry time (activation links are valid for 72 hours; if yours has expired, ask the operator to resend the invitation)
If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. The sender address is noreply@traceable.digital.
Account Setup Flow
Clicking the activation link opens the Traceable account setup form. Complete the following steps:
1. Your Name and Password
Enter your full name and choose a secure password. Traceable enforces a minimum of 12 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character.
Your email address is pre-filled from the invitation and cannot be changed during setup. If there is an error in the email address, contact the operator who invited you before proceeding.
2. Company Details
Provide or confirm your company information:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Company legal name | The registered legal entity name |
| Country | Country of incorporation |
| Primary contact name | The person operators should contact |
| Primary contact email | Can be different from your login email |
| Website | Optional but recommended |
These details populate your supplier profile, which is visible to operators who have added you. You can update them at any time from the Profile section.
3. Review and Confirm
Review your details and click Activate Account. You are then taken directly to the Supplier Dashboard — your account is live immediately.
The Supplier Dashboard
After activation, the Supplier Dashboard is your home screen each time you log in at app.traceable.digital. The dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of:
- Open data requests — requests from operators that require your attention, sorted by urgency
- Expiring certificates — any certificates you have uploaded that expire within 60 days
- Recent activity — a timestamped feed of actions taken on your account (submissions, uploads, profile changes)
- Quick links — direct navigation to your Materials library and Certificates section
The left sidebar provides navigation to all sections: Dashboard, Data Requests, Materials, Certificates, and Profile.
How Your Account Connects to Operators
Your single Traceable supplier account can be linked to multiple operators simultaneously. Each operator sends their own invitation, and you accept each one. Once linked:
- Each operator can send you data requests independently
- You respond through the same Supplier Portal for all operators
- Your material library and certificates are shared across all your operator connections — you upload a material or certificate once and can reference it when responding to any operator's request
- Operators cannot see each other's data requests sent to you, nor your responses to other operators
There is no limit on how many operators you can be linked to.
What You Can Do in the Supplier Portal
| Action | Available |
|---|---|
| View data requests from operators | Yes |
| Respond to data requests with values and documents | Yes |
| Upload and manage certificates | Yes |
| Build and manage your material library | Yes |
| Update your company profile | Yes |
| View your account activity history | Yes |
What the Supplier Portal Does Not Allow
| Action | Available |
|---|---|
| Create or edit Digital Product Passports | No — DPP creation is an operator function |
| View another supplier's data or materials | No — your library is private to your account |
| See data requests sent to other suppliers by the same operator | No |
| Access operator billing or subscription settings | No |
| View DPP draft content beyond the fields you have been asked to supply | No |
Your role in Traceable is to provide accurate, evidenced supply chain data to operators. All DPP authoring and publication decisions remain with the operator.
Next Steps
Once your account is set up, we recommend:
- Complete your profile — a complete profile increases operator confidence and is used in some supplier scoring calculations. See Profile.
- Upload your key certificates — having ISO, REACH, or other regulatory certificates in Traceable before your first data request means you can respond immediately. See Certificates.
- Build your material library — if you supply standard materials repeatedly, adding them upfront saves significant time when responding to requests. See Materials Overview.
