Products overview

The Products section contains your complete battery product catalogue. Every product you create in Traceable corresponds to a distinct battery model for which you are required to maintain a Digital Product Passport under EU Battery Regulation 2023/1542.

Products List View

When you navigate to Products in the sidebar, you arrive at the list view. This is the central workspace for managing your product catalogue. It displays all products across all statuses in a paginated table, defaulting to 25 rows per page.

Columns Explained

ColumnDescription
NameThe commercial name or model name of the battery product. Click this to open the product record.
CategoryThe battery category as defined by EU Battery Regulation 2023/1542: EV (Electric Vehicle), LMT (Light Means of Transport), Industrial, SLI (Starting, Lighting, Ignition), or Portable. The category determines which DPP fields are mandatory.
StatusThe current publication status of the product (see below for all possible values).
Compliance ScoreThe completeness and verification score for this individual product, expressed as a percentage. This is distinct from the account-level compliance score on the dashboard. A score of 100% means all mandatory and recommended fields are populated and the product has at least one approved verification task and one associated document.
Last UpdatedThe date and time the product record was last modified by any user, or the date a supplier response was accepted that updated DPP field values. Displayed in your local timezone.

Product Status Values

StatusMeaning
DraftThe product has been created but not yet published. It is not publicly accessible and no QR code has been generated. All fields are freely editable.
PublishedThe product has a live, publicly accessible DPP. A QR code has been generated. Editing the product creates a new draft revision; the published version remains live until you republish.
Draft (Revision)A published product currently has an open draft revision in progress. The last published version remains live. The DPP editor shows the draft revision.
UnpublishedThe product was previously published but has been manually unpublished. The DPP is no longer publicly accessible and the QR code redirects to a removed notice. The product record and all data are retained.
ArchivedThe product has been archived and is excluded from compliance score calculations and the active product count. Archived products are hidden from the default list view but can be retrieved using the status filter.

Searching the Product List

The search bar at the top of the list view performs a real-time, full-text search across:

  • Product name
  • Battery model number
  • Internal reference (if set)
  • Manufacturer name (for products where this differs from the account operator)

Search is not case-sensitive. Partial matches are supported — searching "LFP" will match any product whose name, model number, or reference contains those characters.

Filtering

Use the filter bar to narrow the product list by one or more criteria simultaneously:

Filter by Category

Select one or more battery categories from the dropdown. Useful when you manage products across multiple categories and need to focus on a specific regulated class.

Filter by Status

Select one or more status values. By default, the list shows all statuses except Archived. To view archived products, explicitly select Archived in the status filter.

Filter by Compliance Score

Set a minimum and/or maximum compliance score to identify products that need attention. For example, filtering to scores below 60% will surface products with significant data gaps.

Filter by Last Updated

Set a date range to find products modified within a specific period. Useful for identifying products that have not been reviewed recently.

Active filters are shown as tags below the filter bar. Click the × on any tag to remove that filter individually, or click Clear All to reset the view.

Bulk Actions

Select multiple products using the checkboxes on the left of each row. With one or more products selected, the bulk action toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen. Available bulk actions are:

ActionDescription
Export SelectedDownloads a CSV file containing the DPP field data for all selected products. Useful for audits and internal reporting.
Download QR CodesDownloads a ZIP file containing QR code images (SVG and PNG) for all selected published products. Only published products yield a QR code; drafts are skipped with a notice.
ArchiveMoves all selected products to Archived status. Products must be in Draft or Unpublished status to be archived — Published products cannot be bulk-archived without first unpublishing them.
DeletePermanently deletes all selected Draft products. Published and Unpublished products cannot be deleted via bulk action; they must be unpublished first and then deleted individually. This action cannot be undone.

Creating vs Importing Products

There are two ways to add products to your catalogue:

Create Individually

Best for adding one product at a time, especially for complex EV or Industrial battery products where the DPP form is detailed and requires careful field-by-field completion. See Create a Product for the full walkthrough.

Import via CSV

Best for adding multiple products in bulk, particularly for simpler battery categories (SLI, Portable) with well-understood specifications. The CSV import creates all products as drafts, which you then review and complete as needed. See Import Products for format requirements and limitations.

For most operators, the typical workflow is to use CSV import for initial catalogue population and individual creation for new product additions thereafter.
