Profile
Identity & Memberships
At the top of your Profile page, above the editable profile form, you will see an Identity & Memberships section. This section is read-only.
It shows:
- Your supplier identity — a shared identifier that persists across all customers you work with on Traceable
- Your active customer memberships — the list of customers who have added you to their supplier network and whose data requests you can receive
This section reflects your cross-platform presence. If you work with multiple customers, each will appear here with their membership status. You cannot edit this information directly — memberships are established when a customer adds you to their network.
What Your Profile Contains and Who Sees It
Your supplier profile is your company's presence on Traceable. Any customer who has added you as a supplier can view your profile. It is the first thing a customer sees when they search for or review a supplier in their network.
A complete, accurate profile builds customer confidence and contributes to some supplier scoring metrics that customers use internally to prioritise and evaluate their supply base. Think of it as a professional capability statement — concise, factual, and kept current.
Profile Fields
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Company legal name | Your registered legal entity name — the name that appears on official documents and contracts |
| Address | Your registered business address. Include full street address, city, postcode, and country |
| Website | Your company's website URL |
| Primary contact name | The name of the person customers should reach out to for supply chain and compliance queries. This does not need to be the same person as your Traceable account holder |
| Primary contact email | The email address for the primary contact. This is used by customers for direct communication outside of Traceable if needed |
| Industries served | The industry sectors you supply into (multi-select). For battery supply chain suppliers, select at minimum: Automotive, Energy Storage, Consumer Electronics, or whichever apply |
| Product categories supplied | The types of materials or components you supply (multi-select). For example: Cathode active materials, Anode active materials, Electrolytes, Separators, Cell housings, BMS components, Finished cells, Battery packs |
| Company description | A free-text description of your company, your specialisations, manufacturing capabilities, and supply chain position. Maximum 500 characters. Write in the third person (e.g., "Acme Lithium is a South Korean manufacturer of high-purity lithium carbonate for battery-grade applications...") |
How to Update Your Profile
- Navigate to Profile in the left sidebar
- Click Edit Profile
- Make your changes
- Click Save Changes
Changes are saved immediately and visible to customers right away. There is no review or approval step.
Profile Completeness
Traceable shows a profile completeness percentage based on how many fields have been filled in. The completeness indicator is visible to customers on your supplier card.
A higher completeness score:
- Increases customer confidence when evaluating you as a supplier
- Ensures you appear in relevant supplier searches (customers can filter by industry and product category)
- Contributes positively to supplier scoreboard metrics where applicable
A profile with only a company name and email is technically functional, but customers may be less confident engaging you for high-compliance data requests if your profile provides no context about your capabilities or scope.
What You Cannot Change From Your Profile
Login email address — your login email is set at account creation and tied to your authentication record. It cannot be changed from within the profile settings. If you need to update your login email address — for example, because you have changed your corporate email domain — contact Traceable support at support@traceable.digital.
Note that changing your login email requires identity verification. Allow up to 2 business days for the change to be processed.
Profile Visibility Rules
Your profile is visible only to customers who have an active supplier relationship with you on Traceable — that is, customers who have explicitly added you as a supplier on their account. Your profile is not publicly searchable outside of the platform.
If a customer removes you from their supplier network, they lose visibility of your profile and certificates. Your account and all your data remain intact — only the visibility to that specific customer is revoked.
Your Data (GDPR)
Your Profile page includes a Privacy & data portability area where you can export your own data at any time, without contacting support.
The Download a copy of your data action (the Download my data button) produces a single JSON file, named traceable-supplier-export-*.json, containing the personal and business data Traceable holds about you. The export is provided under GDPR Article 15 (Right of Access) and Article 20 (Right to Data Portability), so you can review what is held or migrate it to another platform.
The export bundles your audit log together with your other records (your supplier identity, customer memberships, team, data-request history, uploaded documents, and notifications). There is no separate audit-log button: the audit log is delivered inside this data export. Exporting is read-only and does not delete or change any of your data, and the fact that you ran an export is itself recorded in your audit log.
